What did you say?

one, i love being first ... so yay to me. and i love this entry ... really good stuff to think about. my first "real" kiss was with a guy named mike and we were "dating" whatever that is when neither of you have a car - but we were at a teen club here in marietta and the song was Madonna's "crazy for you" now whenever i hear it - i get this sweet smile on my face and in my heart thinking about it - and oh yeah prom ... remember i'm a 80's girl too - my prom date and i had our hair dyed to match... how funny!

Thank you for the birthday props Wendy. I am having an okay day, worked in the am while nursing a slammin' hangover from unplanned pre-birthday celebration. So that was sucky... but then attended "The post-small-family-wedding large reception bash" for my bro and his lovely new bride. Fun enough. Got to have my niece kiss me and love on me and then call me "STUPID HEAD" when she caught me smoking. She is right. ANYWAY... how could you not want to make our all over hot latin looking MAN (he had a mustach!!)?? He soo looks my Eric Estrada (I know you remember C.H.I.P.S) fantasies of my youth.

Wonderful entry! I love that dress, you should've seen mine. My grandma made it for me and I looked like something out of Gond With The Wind. My first kiss? I was 11 or so and I got a quick peck from Patrick, the boy who lived next door to my grandparents. My grandfather was watching the whole thing, too. EEK!

My niece refers to her boyfriend as the boy she is "going out with." Same thing, they go nowhere. It is hilarious. I coulnd't help but notice that maf's doggie has the same name as her first kiss boy. How cute is that? And girl you know I want, no need, to see that prom picture with the matching hair.

Rock on with your bad partying self KK. Live it up it's your birthday. Dude did have a mustache, he was quite a bit older. Maybe even illegal.

The thing about that dress warcry is it was long as a bitch. I recently went to an eighth grade dance to video tape it and I couldn't believe the skimpy dresses those hoochies were wearing!

That was such a sweet entry! One thing about the dude though I keep expecting you to say he asked if you wanted "Petsi" or "Mandu" (sorry prolly only Wendy will get that) P.s. MAF--what color was the dyed matching hair.

I re-inspected the pics and was privately wondering if Mexi-man-o-man was realy in high school. High School=Grad School. Relatively speaking. And yes.......I'm at home dicking about on the computer on my fucking BIRHTDAY. "Lame" has a new name... and it's "SassyKK". I'm 33 and kinda' bummed now, but I WILL relish the open landscape that is my king sized bed, sans, snoring jerk wad boy waste of a sponge (is HE really "sponge Worthy"). Oh yeah, I'm 33 and "smarter" for a change.......How did that happen? Oh yeah....experience.

maf - 2004-09-26 08:09:15
ok one - sponge worthy? that cracked me up .. i love an unexpected Seinfeld reference .. and the guy and i both had burgandy hair - i was all into the funky hair in high school ( art geek. kinda still am ) but i will say that my hairdresser made my hair look super "normal" that night - just a funky color ... i'll see if i can get mom to scan the pics in and i'll see if i can get HRT to post them... cause that's way past what i can do on a computer .... and technically mike ( the dog ) is named after detective mike logan on Law & Order ... and 19. NEVER underestimate the power of the latin man ... good giggly wiggly ... it's a GOOD thing!

This is why I like maf so much. A man is a man is a man. You just gotta love men. All kinds. Thinking about it now, I probably should have done the wild thing with el dato de promo. Now that I'm fixin' to be single, I wonder if it's too late......
-------------------------------
Incredipete - 2004-09-26 22:00:36
That man looks a little like "Ponch" from CHiPs... I'm just saying. And yes, I read the whole damn thing.
-------------------------------
Wendy - 2004-09-27 08:16:02
So does that mean you usually don't read the whole damn thing? I reckon I ouhgt to be honored. It's the little things that bring joy to my life...
-------------------------------
maf - 2004-09-27 08:40:39
ok, lemme say " el dato de promo " made me laugh out loud - and i'm supposed to be working here - or at least look like i am! YAY YOU!

Wendy - 2004-09-27 08:54:53
I'm here to serve maf. I have had a laugh or two myself this morning. It is a good thing on a Monday.

First word: wizzat (what's that?) Mmmmm Arby's...now I want some. P.S. Happy birthday SassyKK!!!
-------------------------------
HRT - 2004-09-27 13:15:00
mmmm yum! Arby's rocks the hizzouse.

I remember my first "REAL" slow dance. It was the summer before 8th grade and I was away from home for a week in the summer up in the mountains of VA (right near the VA/WVA border.) It was a weeklong extended retreat/conference for Jr. High school kids, loosely associated with my church (i.e. half the kids didn't attend any churches just wanted a cool place to hang out for a week in the summer). Anyway they threw a loosely chaperoned dance for us kids outside under a big ol pavillion. And since I knew that in 2 days I wasn't going to see any of those girls again, what did I have to lose.

Nothing but my virginity...

That my friends is what is known as revisionist history. These are my memories dammit. Who cares if they're factual. *snicker*

maf - 2004-09-27 13:45:04
junior high? jumped up jesus HRT ... if you're gonna make up stories about slutting it up - make sure they're not about 8th graders ... EW!
-------------------------------
HRT - 2004-09-27 14:15:26
It's a mild form of hyperbole. Because the truth is that I was so old when I finally actually DID lose my virginity, there was some question as to which I'd lose first, my virginity or my hair.

Oh, my bad Incredipetey.
-------------------------------
Wendy - 2004-09-27 14:21:48
Do y'all think we could find a camp in the Virginia mountains that would take all of us cool Dlanders for a week now? That would be a memory maker right there folks!
-------------------------------
Wendy - 2004-09-27 14:22:20
Oh, and HRT, you are atoned.
