What did you say?

I think I'm first! That is so fun. Anyway, I get very angry at clearance racks because I look through them for three hours and the only thing they ever seem to have left are extra small and quadruple extra large. And then I fall in love with a T-shirt that costs $40.00. AND an $80.00 pair of shoes--I will buy the shoes though--they are straight love.

And I know this!!!

Incredipete - 2004-08-11 00:39:42
Yes, but there are lots of rich idiots that are willing to pay 3 times what it's worth before they stick it on the clearance rack. They have to bleed the rich idiots... it keeps the economy afloat.

Wendy - 2004-08-11 05:38:43
Yeah, and splain that to me too. Even if I was mad rich, I don't think I would be inclined to pay a ridiculous price for something just because I could "afford" to. Meanwhile, I don't get to buy stuff cheap until the new season starts.

AAGGHHHHH. Dude, I couldn't even read your shit girl. An alleviation of strenuous font pain is in order baby!!!

It's actually quite simple. It's the law of supply and demand. When demand is high supply is low, and vice versa. So there are a lot of rich people who want what they want and they want it right now. So therefore they drive up the price. Then when the same item cools off a bit there is more of it than the demand warrents the price then comes down.

I swear I didn't mean to go into econ 101 (I really wanted to leave that one to good 'ol Incredipetey) but it just seems logical to me.

What also seems logical to me is why someone like you, someone who seems like a genius to most, would hate and be frustrated by something that doesn't make sense to you. Whenever I run into something like that I just convince myself that if I spend hours studying it, I could get it too, but I just don't want to spend that much time on something I hate.

Not to mention running the risk of spending that much time and STILL not understanding it. That would truly TRULY suck.

HRT, I have tried. Oh how I have tried to avoid the e word but you success driven want to be rich people that I hang with keep bringing it up! Do a sister a favor huh and from now on only talk about things which I completely understand. That would be anything except economics (*shudder) and running a close second--politics. I appreciate it. But actually, it really isn't a lack of understanding. It is pretty much that I DON'T LIKE IT!! Never have, never will.

P.S. Thanks for rolling with a brother!

Okay. I am completely with you on this one. I hate the fact that I have to buy clothes that are a season behind just in order to spend a DECENT ammount of money instead of an arm and a leg. Urghhhh. I'm learning to sew.
